The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a test of English proficiency that is accepted by most colleges, universities and government organisations for admissions, work and the immigration purposes. The test covers all the four skills of the English language: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, with a full band score 9 for each individual section.
IELTS has two modules: Academic and General Training. The Academic kind is for the candidates who wish to pursue their higher education whereas the General kind is for the purpose of work, immigration and training requirements abroad.
The IELTS has the following format.

The students at VISTA have an unlimited access to the Access Centre (VISTA LAB) to practise all the skills incorporated in the international tests like TOEFL and IELTS. Every Friday, full tests are administered by the experienced faculty and the test papers are assessed by qualified examiners who, subsequently, return these to the students. Besides, the writing tasks come back to the students with teachers’ feedback for improvement.
As you should be aware, the final IELTS test is conducted by the British Council. The students need to register for their test as per the availability of the dates at the British Council, which are announced in advance. For further details of the exam and the test dates, students can also visit the website of the British Council at www.britishcouncil.org/nepal.
